Teachers arrested for killing boy

Jamnagar, Aug 26: Four people, including two teachers and the principal of a Madrassa, have been arrested for allegedly beating a student to death at Lalpur, about 35 km from here, on Thursday.

A trustee of the school has also been arrested.

Initially, the principal, Noor Khan Pathan, had in his complaint to the police alleged that a teacher, Tanvir Anwar, had beaten up Nazir Ahmed as he used to harass the trustee's daughter. After his arrest, Tanvir told the police that he was not the only one involved in the crime and named the other three, including the principal, who were also nabbed.

Though the incident had occured in the day, Nazir had died in the night after he complained of breathing problem.

The other two arrested were identified as trustee Margul Halam Pathan and Karinul Ahmed Ansari, a teacher.
