Support to BSP was BJP's blunder: Rajnath Singh
Pilakhua (Ghaziabad), Aug 26: BJP President Rajnath Singh today dubbed as the biggest blunder on the part of the party to support the Bahujan Samaj Party to form a coalition government in Uttar Pradesh, asserting it would never happen again.
Addressing a Kisan Rally at the Ramlila Ground here, Mr Singh said the BJP would not support any party in the state and would form the government on its own strength, keeping in mind the coming assembly elections in the state in February.
The BJP President said there was no difference between the present Samajwadi Party government and that of the former BSP government. Both the parties used muscle power and adopted corrupt methods to form the government.
Charging UP Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav with pursuing only vote bank politics, he said his government had nothing to do with the people's problems relating to electricity, water, irrigation, roads and individual security.
His commitment to convert the state into a model state had proved hollow. Criminals being patronised by the state Government were ruling the roost everywhere, Mr Singh alleged, appealing to the people to uproot this government which had failed in all spheres.
