Sri Varahaswami idol unveiled

Tirupati, Aug 26 (UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer A P V N Sarma today unveiled the Sri Varahaswami idol at Padestrai on the pedestrian path between Alipiri and Tirumala, near here.

Addressing the press, Mr Sarma said idols of other 'avatharams' (various forms) of Lord Vishu would be installed soon.

The previous TTD Trust Board the Chairmanship of Mr T Subbirami Reddy had decided to construct ornamental 'mandapams' and set up black granite stone idols of ''Dasavatharam'' along the Kalibata from Alipiri to Tirumala at a cost about Rs 36 lakh.
