Senior scribe cremated

Lucknow, Aug 26 (UNI) Mortal remains of veteran journalist B C Tiwari, who was killed in a car crash yesterday, were consigned to flames here today.

Mr Tiwari (57), who worked as a part-time journalist for UNI in Rae Bareli, was seriously injured in a car accident near Rudauli village of the neighbouring Barabanki district.

He was rushed to a hopspital here, where doctors declared him brought dead.

His son, Amit, a local Congress leader in Rae Bareli, was also critically injured in the accident.

Tiwari, who had been a lecturer of English in a Rae Bareli college, had a long association with UNI.

Meanwhile, UP Congress president Salman Khurshid condoled the death of Mr Tiwari.
