Security tightened for Ganesh Chaturthi
Hyderabad, Aug 26 (UNI) Security has been tightened in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad for the nine-day Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations from tomorrow.
Police said installation of any, mandapams' or taking out processions without permission had been prohibited.
Collecting and carrying of stones or other means of casting misseles and bursting and throwing of firecrackers on public places has been banned to maintain peace.
Music systems, speeches, or use of loud speakers would not be allowed beyond permitted hours.
Making speeches gestures, exhibition or dissemination of pictures or symbols likely to instigate religious Animosity or hatred between different communities or to create disturbance of peace had also been banned, police said.
Police also warned that any person violating these orders would be prosecuted under the Hyderabad city Police Act.
The orders will be in force with effect from tomorrow tillo September 7.
