Boundary dispute triggers reaction in Mizoram
Aizawl, Aug 26: The "Former Underground Welfare Society" (FUWS) today took serious exception to the Asom government's allegation that Mizoram had taken away 12,744.67 acre of land along the inter-state boundary.
In a statement here, the FUWS said the Asom government had accused the Mizoram government of taking away huge tract of land, and the Centre had already been apprised of the development.
The FUWS demanded public statement from the state government over the allegation of the Asom government.
However, the Mizoram government still kept mum on the issue and the matter did not figure in the all party meeting, held on the constitution of a boundary commission, the statement added.
