Bansi Lal's birth anniversary observed

Chandigarh, Aug 26 (UNI) A large number of people paid floral tributes on the samadhi of the former Haryana Chief Minister Bansi Lal on his 80th birth anniversary at his ancestral village Golagarh in district Bhiwani this morning.

Minister of State for Tourism and Forests Kiran Choudhry, daughter-in-law of late Bansi Lal, launched a tree plantation campaign, with a target of planting 80,000 saplings on the Samadhi in memory of the late Ch Bansi Lal on this occasion.

A condolence meeting and a 'Sarv Dharam Prarthana Sabha' were also organised on this occasion where people gathered from all over the state and saints of many religions prayed for peace.
