'All parties must combat terrorism together'
Nadia, Aug 26: All parties should join hands to combat terrorism in West Bengal, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunshi said here today, only a day after police uncovered a terror strike attempt by unearting nine bombs in Siliguri.
Speaking at a programme here, Mr Dasmunshi said West Bengal share porous borders with Nepal and Bangladesh. Therefore, inflitration of terrorists through this route happen easily.
State administration should stay prepared to combat terrorism and the Centre would help them in all respect, the minister added.
Two IED explosives containing a plastic bag were discovered by securitymen today at Panitanki in Siliguri here. In Malda station police also unearthed five live bombs and defused them.
