Aftab celebrates golden jubilee tomorrow

Srinagar, Aug 26 (UNI) Aftab, a leading Urdu daily from here, will celebrate its golden jubilee tomorrow.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, his Council of Ministers, top leaders of political and separatist parties and people from all walks of life are expected to attend the function at the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Centre (SKICC) here.

''Aftab'' was first published in 1957 with Khwaja Sonaullah Bhat as its Chief Editor.

The newspaper is now published on behalf of the Aftab Charitable Trust with Mr Ghulam Mohammad Mir as its printer and publisher.

Khwaja Sonaullah Bhat, however, continues to be its Chief Editor.
