Advani seeks Shankaracharya Swarupanand's blessings

Jaipur, Aug 26 (UNI) Senior BJP leader L K Advani today paid his respects to Shankaracharya Swami Swarupanand Saraswati and sought his blessings during the latter's 83rd birthday celebrations here.

Mr Advani, accompanied by Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje Scindia, touched the Shankaracharya's feet and presented him a shawl. He also presented him a 'thali of prasad'.

Mr Advani reached Vaishali Nagar straight after landing at the Sanganer airport this afternoon.

Later, Mr Advani and the Shankaracharya were closeted in a separate room for some discussions.
