7 School children hurt as bus rams into engine

Kota, Aug 26 (UNI) Seven school children were injured when their schoolbus collided with a train engine at a railway crossing in this district of Rajasthan today.

According to police, a schoolbus of a public school located in Kunhadi, rammed into a engine at a railway crossing near Sintha village while trying to cross it.

Seven children identified as Akshay Bhatia (7), Devki (5), Ashish Bhatia (4), Dev (4), Antima (5) and Komal (6) were injured and admitted to SBM hospital.

Eyewitnesses said a big accident was averted as the engine's speed was slow.

The railway and police have started investigations into the accident.
