Urdu educationist killed in group clash
Barrackpore, Aug 25 (UNI) A 50-year-old educationist of an Urdu school was killed in a group clash at Jelepara under Khardah police station in North 24 Parganas today.
Md Alaudin, who was the president of an Urdu primary school was assaulted by a sharp weapon, police said. He was soon taken to Balaram State General Hospital at Kahrdah where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after admission.
Situation in the area became tensed while police rushed to the spot and conducted raids to book the miscreants.
Three people were arrested in this connection, Additional Superintendent of Police, Barrackpore, Basab Dasgupta said.
