Two LeT ultras killed, 14 kg RDX seized
Jammu, Aug 25 (UNI) Security forces today gunned down two Lashker-e- Toiba(LET) militants, while a woman was killed in separate militancy related incident in Poonch and Doda districts of Jammu and Kashmir.
According to police sources the security forces also succeeded in arresting two militants and recovered 14 kg of RDX and other explosive material from a hideout in Poonch district last night.
According to sources army and police during a joint operation in Banola area of Mendhar in Poonch district gunned down one LeT militant in an encounter and recovered one AK rifle with two magazines from the slain militant.
In another operation security forces shot dead LeT militant namely Dilshad Ahmed Sheikh Alias Tallah at Marwa area of Kishtwar Sub Division in Doda district. One AK 47 Rifle and one magzine was recovered from the slain militant, sources added.
In another incident, militants barged into the house of Yaseen Begum Alias Guddi at Dandi village in Bhaderwah in Doda district and shot her dead. Her husband Mukhtiar Ahmed was also killed by militants some years back, police sources said.
Reports from Rajouri district said, during a search operation in Gurdanbala area, police busted a hideout and recovered 14 kg of RDX, 21 detonators and three remote control devices.
Security forces also arrested two militants at Jogi Morh area in Mendhar of Poonch district and recovered one pistol, two magazines and 16 rounds of ammunition.
