Tata's retail chain opens first outlet in Jaipur

Jaipur, Aug 25: Tata Group's retail arm, Westside, has opened its first store here, taking its total to 23 outlets across the country.

''The residents here have an exposure to a number of shopping options and we hope to enhance this with the superior merchandise, service and the overall international shopping experience that we have on offer,'' Trent Ltd Chairman Simone Tata said at the launch yesterday.

Westside stores have several departments to meet the varied shopping needs of customers. These include menswear, womenswear, kidswear, footwear, cosmetics, perfumes and handbags, household accessories, lingerie and gifts.

''Spread across 18,000 sq ft, the store has merchandise that complements every aspect of your lifestyle,'' Trent Ltd marketing head Neeti Chopra said.

Established in 1998, Trent Ltd operates Westside, which has a presense in 14 cities including Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai, Pune, Delhi and Noida.
