SW monsoon active over Punjab

Pune, Aug 25 (UNI) The southwest monsoon has been active over Punjab and east Madhya Pradesh.

It has been subdued over east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Vidarbha, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Karnataka and Kerala.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttaranchal, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, east Madhya Pradesh and Konkan and Goa.

Rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar, Lakshadweep and at isolated places in west Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Saurashtra, Kutch, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh and interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, east Madhya Pradesh, and many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Chattisgarh and Gujarat region.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and at isolated places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Uttaranchal, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka, north interior Karnataka and Andaman and Nicobar.
