Speaker rejects JD(U) leader Prabhunath Singh's resignation
New Delhi, Aug 25 (UNI) Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee today said he has rejected the resignation of JD(U) parliamentary party leader Prabhunath Singh.
Mr Chatterjee gave this information to the members during the Zero Hour today, saying that he had rejected his resignation and appealed to the JD(U) MP to rejoin the sitting of the House.
Following Mr Chatterjee's announcement, Mr Singh came back to the House and participated in the proceedings.
Mr Singh had handed over his resignation to the Speaker following a near physical clash between RJD and JD(U) members in the Lok Sabha yesterday.
