Rao V Remala invests in S7 Software solutions

Bangalore, Aug 25: S7 Software Solutions, a global provider of cross- platform migration and porting products and services today announced that Angel Investor and former Director of Microsoft Corporation, Rao V. Remala will be a key investor in the company.

Remala has also joined the company's Board of Directors and Advisory Panel.

In a release Mr Remala said here that S7 Software soltuions had a great potential to be the best in the cross-platform porting and migration space. Besides investing in the company and he would be very keen on working on strategies to take S7 to the next stage.

Nurturing PC progress from the very start, Remala was the 29th person and the first Indian to write code and give shape to the ubiquitous Microsoft Windows programme. In a 21-year period with Microsoft, he directly reported to Bill Gates and worked on a slew of the company's best known products - Basic, Cobol Compiler, Windows 1.0, Windows 2.0, OLE 1.0, OLE 2.0, Office 95, Office 97.

He held a range of positions from individual contributor, to Group Manager, to Product Unit Manager and finally Director and was an integral part of the team that virtually defined the personal computing industry. Before Microsoft, Remala worked at DCM, Computer Research and Development centre and then at Hindustan Computers Limited (HCL). Remala was currently an angel investor and philanthropist.
