RGU to conduct feasibility study on export-import potential
Itanagar, Aug 25 (UNI) Rajiv Gandhi University(RGU) here has decided to conduct a feasible study on export-import potential of Arunachal Pradesh.
This was decided after a high level meeting recently with Vice Chancellor Prof Tamo Mibang and Arunachal Pradesh's Trade and Commerce secretary Huzar Lollen.
Arunachal Pradesh has huge export potential in a number of commodities given its vast expanses of land with four agro-climatic zones and suitable of producing a variety of crops. Moreover, the state has a vast area under forest which could be exploited selectively, subject to proper re-plantation.
The production possibilities on being realised would be enough not only to meet domestic demands but would be excess for export.
