Mohan Bagan vs TFA exhibition match on August 29

Jamshedpur, Aug 25 (UNI) An exhibition match between Kolkata giant Mohan Bagan and city-based Tata Football Academy (TFA) will be held at J R D Tata sports complex here on August 29 to mark the conclusion of National Sports Day organised by Tata Steel.

Chief TFA Satish Pillai told reporters here today that the Bagan team would play sans star striker Bhaichung Bhutia, who is busy in national football camp but he confirmed the participation of Brazilian striker Jose Ramirez Barreto.

''Despite his injury Barreto might be seen in action for sometime'' Pillai said.

The 20-member Bagan team is also consisted of seven former TFA cadets. ''It's like homecoming for the former Academy players.The match between the experience Bagan players and the fresher of TFA will be interesting one,'' Pillai hoped.

He said apart from the exhibition soccer match, the National Sports Day celebrations which began on August 11 to commemorate the birth anniversary of legendary Dhyan Chand, also included the other disciplines like athletic, badminton, basketball, kabbadi and a one day Hockey tournament for women held in Ranchi.
