Lorry owners cheat MRPL
Mangalore, Aug 25 (UNI) Public Sector Mangalore Refineries and Petrochemicals Limited (MRPL) has been cheated by six lorry owners to the tune of Rs 65 lakh by illegally transporting bitumen using forged documents.
The incident, which happened between December 2005 and March 2006, came to light on the verification of documents and books by the company.
Company official Santosh Kumar Kadri filed a complaint with Suratkal police to this effect today.
Police are on the lookout for the owners and the drivers of the six vehicles, police said.
