LMD Inspector arrested

Hyderabad, Aug 25 (UNI) An Inspector of the Legal Metrology Department (LMD) in Narasaraopet of Guntur district was arrested for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 2000 from a shop owner for reducing fine.

On a complaint from the shop owner, sleuths of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) laid a trap and caught him red-handed yesterday.

The tainted amount was recovered from his possession, a release from ACB said here today.
