Mumbai, Aug 25 (UNI) Team India physiotherapist John Gloster has advised Anil Kumble to take rest to recuperate from his shoulder injury which he suffered during his recent stint with English county club Surrey.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) secretary Niranjan Shah speaking to UNI over the phone said that Gloster went to London to examine Kumble's shoulder and has advised him some rest.

Kumble has been diagnosed with tendonitis in his right shoulder which forced him to cut short his county engagements.

Shah, however said it was too early to rule out Kumble, who has been named in the list of 30 probables for the ICC Champions Trophy, from the final squad of 14 as there is still some time before the tournament begins.

The final 14-member team for the biennial tournament to be hosted in four centres in the country from October 7 to November 5, is to be chosen on September 3 in Mumbai along with the squad for the preceeding triangular series in Malaysia which is scheduled from September 12 to 24.
