BSNL official's bail plea rejected

Patna, Aug 25 (UNI) Special CBI judge (incharge) Jayant Kumar Sen rejected the bail petition of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited(BSNL) accounts officer Dinesh Chandra Verma in a case related to cheating, forgery and corruption here today.

The case was related to fradulent withdrawal of over Rs 18.56 lakhs from the office of BSNL principal general manager, Patna on the basis of 11 fake bills in the year 2003.

The CBI had registered FIR of the case in the year 2004, in which seven officials and six contractors of BSNL were named accused.
