AP House adjourned for 3rd day

Hyderabad, Aug 25 (UNI) The Andhra Pradesh Assembly was adjourned for the third consecutive day today on the Telangana issue.

The Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) MLAs came into the house with placards shouting 'Jai Telangana, Jai Jai Telangana' slogans. They rushed into the podium and climbed the steps leading to the Speaker's chair. As utter pandemonium prevailed, the Speaker K R Suresh Reddy announced adjournment for half-an-hour.

When the House re-assembled, the TRS members continued to block the proceedings and shouted slogans, forcing the Speaker to adjourn the House for the day. The speaker announced that the House would meet again on Monday.

The Speaker before adjourning the House announced that all the questions listed for the day were deemed to have been answered and all the papers to be laid on the table were deemed to have been laid. He has postponed the listed Short Notice Questions.

Mr Suresh Reddy also announced the arrest of 16 TRS legislators for staging a road blockage agitation in front of the Assembly yesterday and their release on bail later.
