AK-47 stolen from CRPF office

Patna, Aug, 25(UNI) An AK-47 rifle and 60 live cartridges had been stolen from the office headquarters of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on the premises of Langat Singh College, Muzaffarpur.

Inspector General(Muzaffarpur range), Suneet Kumar said today that the incident came to light when a bodyguard of the commanding officer, Riyaz Ahmad, complained that the weapon issued in his name yesterday, was missing.

'A police team has been constituted to recover the stolen weapons and ammunition,' he added.

He said some CRPF personnel could be interrogated in this connection.

Deputy Commanding officer of the CRPF, Upendra Chaudhary had lodged an FIR with the University police station of Muzaffarpur district in this connection.
