7 die in road accident in Asom

Guwahati, Aug 25: Seven people, including a 13-year-old boy, were killed in a car accident near Tezpur this morning.

Police said the accident occurred at 0645 hours when a car hit a tree, about 11 km from Tezpur town.

All the passengers in the car were killed.

Two of them died on the spot while the rest were declared dead on arrival at the hospital, police added.

The deceased were on their way to Guwahati to participate in a television programme.
