Wet spell restarts over MP

Bhopal, Aug 24 (UNI) A wet spell has restarted over Madhya Pradesh, after a week-long break, with several locations in the state's northern and eastern areas receiving downpours since yesterday.

A Regional Meteorological Centre spokesman said a low-pressure area has formed in the vicinity of Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh. Some stations in Bhopal, Hoshangabad, Jabalpur, Rewa and Sagar divisions might witness heavy rain over the next couple of days.

The monsoon was active overnight in Rewa, Jabalpur and Sagar divisions. Precipitation figures are Umaria 66, Jabalpur 36.5 mm, Katni 34, Sagar 32, Naugaon 25, Gwalior 21, Satna 19, Khajuraho 15 and Pachmarhi 11 mm.
