Servant murders former MLA

Ranchi, Aug 24 (UNI) Former Jharkhand Legislator Jawahar Prasad Sinha was killed by his domestic help at Sarma village in Deoghar district last night, police said today.

Superintendent of Police Suman Gupta told UNI that the former MLA's hands and legs were tied by his servant, who then wrapped the victim's face with a piece of cloth.

After committing the murder, he decamped with his master's car, cash of Rs 7500 and a mobile, the SP said.

The body was sent for post-mortem, he said adding investigation was on.

Mr Yadav represented Jarmundi Assembly seat several times.
