Final argument in Disproportionate case on Aug 29
Patna, Aug 24 (UNI) The final argument in Railway Minister Lalu Prasad and his wife Rabri Devi's, disproportionate as set lose will come up for hearing on August 29.
Chitranjan Sinha, counsel for Mr Prasad, today filed the copy of the order of the Supreme Court before a special CBI Judge Muni Lal Paswan informing him that the writ petition on which the apex court had stayed the final argument from defence in the case, had been dismissed.
Mr Sinha prayed before the court to fix the date for the final argument following the new circumstances in the wake of apex court's order.
Deputy law advisor of the CBI, L R Ansari, did not oppose the plea of the defence counsel. Later, the court fixed August 29 as the final argument in the case from defence following consent of both sides.
In fodder scam case, hearing on petition of Mr Prasad for discharging him continued and it would be heard again tomorrow.
