Bangla, India to exploit immense potential
Dhaka, Aug 24 (UNI) Bangladesh Foreign Minister Morshed Khan today said Dhaka and New Delhi are natural ally and there is immense scope for exploiting a huge potential between the two countries.
Mr Khan's statement came when visiting Indian Home Secretary Vinod K Duggal called on him at his office.
During the meeting, they discussed bilateral issues and stressed continuous engagement and constructive dialogue to resolve the problems that exist between the two countries neighbouring.
Mr Khan observed that ''the two neighbouring countries have no major conflicts that hamper friendly atmosphere of the two countries''.
Mr Duggal said, ''Bangladesh and India are two friendly countries and there could be much more cooperation for mutual prosperity.'' The Indian Home Secretary informed that both sides were working together to improve the border situation, prevent smuggling and address other shared concerns.
Foreign Secretary Hemayetuddin, Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Liakat Ali Chowdhury and Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Veena Sikri were also present during the meeting.
