8611 UP Ranchi-Varanasi train looted

Latehar, Aug 24 (UNI) Armed criminals robbed passengers of 8611 UP Ranchi-Varanasi Express near Hehegara under Barakakana-Barawadih railway station in Latehar district mid-night last night.

The criminals entered the train at Latehar, which created panic in the compartment.

The criminals assaulted the passengers, molested women and pulled the chain at Hehegara after robbing Rs 55,000 and valuables worth about Rs 50,000.

The passengers complained that the criminals entered the compartment though the security squad was present in the train.
