Trader shot dead in Bettiah, one injured

Bettiah, Aug 23: A trader was shot dead and his secretary injured by a group of criminals near Daharba area on Shikarpur-Gaunaha road in West Champaran district last night.

Police here today said when Anand Prakash Jaiswal alias Prakash Jaiswal was returning from his brick klin, along with his accountant, the criminals attacked him.

They beheaded the trader before shooting him.

The injured accountant was rushed to a local government hospital.

Investigation is on.

Reason behind the incident was yet to be ascertained.
