Jabalpur, Aug 23 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh High Court today sought responses from a committee and exam organisers in the wake of cancellation of a Dental and Medical Entrance Test for more than 1,000 seats in the state's colleges.

Chief Justice Anang Kumar Pattnaik and Justice Suresh Chandra Sinho heard a plea by Indore's Sanjay Patni. The Justice Chandra Bhushan Committee and the Association of Private Medical and Dental Colleges have to file replies by August 29.

The bench said that cancellation-linked details must be presented along with an affidavit.

''The committee, formed on a Supreme Court directive, supervised the August 13 DMET in this state's principal cities and there was no lacuna. Besides, no complaint was lodged either by students or their guardians,'' said petitioner's Counsel N S Kale.

The plea alleged that certain political organisations made a futile attempt to derail the exam process on the basis of untrue information.
