Bogies left behind

Mandsaur, MP, Aug 23 (UNI) In a freak incident, coupling failure led to the 9658 Military Headquarters Of War Chittorgarh Holiday Express locomotive proceeding with only a single coach while about a dozen other bogies were left behind between Dalauda and Mandsaur stations, Railway sources said.

Passengers of the coaches, stranded at 1815 hrs yesterday, panicked and alighted fearing an accident.

After traversing about five km, the engine driver felt something was amiss. The other bogies were subsequently relinked. The train, which leaves Ratlam at 1615 hrs, pulls into Mandsaur at 1830 hrs.
