NYC seeks CM's intervention in molestation case

Kozhikode, Aug 22 (UNI) The Nationalist Youth Congress (NYC), youth wing of the Nationalist Congress Party, a partner in the ruling Left Democratic Front in Kerala, today sought immediate itervention of Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan in the alleged molestation case involving a minister.

''It is a serious issue questioning the credibility of a public servant,'' and deserved immediate intervention of the Chief Minister, NYC state president U V Dineshmani said in a statement.

Action should be taken against Public Works Minister P J Joseph, if he was found guilty of misbehaviour with a woman in a flight to Kochi from Chennai a few days ago as alleged by her husband, he said.

Stringent action should also be taken against the complainant, if it was a fabricated complaint, the release added.
