JD (U) MLA sent to jail in Bihar

Biharsharif, Aug 21: A local court today remanded Janata Dal (United) MLA Ramswaroop Prasad to 14 days in judicial custody in a criminal case.

Mr Prasad, representing Islampur Assembly constituency in Bihar, had surendered before the chief judicial magistrate of Hilsa today and filed a bail petition, which was rejected by the court.

Earlier a woman had filed a complaint in the court of aditional judicial magistrate on February 10 last alleging that the MLA had provoked three persons to misbehave with her when she was on way to fetch drinking water.
