Unidentified duo attack Tasmac employee

Tiruchirapalli, Aug 21 (UNI) Two unidentified persons attacked a Tasmac employee and robbed Rs two lakh cash from him at knife-point in the busy Karur by-pass road, this morning.

According to police here a 35-year-old Sankaran, Tasmac employee, was going to a bank to deposit yesterday's collection on a moped. He was waylaid by a two-member gang. The gang, which came on a motorcycle threatened Sankaran to handover the cash bag, at knife-point. When the employee resisted, he was attacked with a knife by the duo who later snatched away the cash bag and escaped.

Police have launched a massive man hunt to nab the culprits.

Sankaran, who suffered bleeding injuries on his neck was treated at the government hospital.
