Subramanian Swamy welcomes Centre's decision

Chennai, Aug 21 (UNI) Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swamy today welcomed the Centre's decision to offer the Sarkaria Commission's report on devolution of power to the Sri Lankan government for possible adoption.

In a statement here, he said the Lankan government must know that mainstream public opinion in India would never agree to materially and substantially support Sri Lanka's struggle against terrorism by the LTTE until the Sinhalese majority agrees 'upfront' to implement a federal type constitution by passing a resolution in their parliament.
