State mourning declared for Ustad Bismillah Khan

New Delhi, Aug 21: The Centre today announced a day's state mourning in the country as a mark of respect to Ustad Bismillah Khan, who passed away in Varanasi this morning.

The Shehnai maestro will be accorded State funeral at Varanasi today, a Union Home Ministry spokesman said here today.

During state mourning, national tri-colour will be flown half-mast and there will be no official entertainment.
