Six tribals die due to diarrhoea

Hoshangabad, MP, Aug 21 (UNI) Six tribals, including three members of a family, have died and more than 100 taken ill due to diarrhoea in remote villages at Bori Abyaranya of this district, official sources said today.

Collector Faiz Ahmed Kidwai said it was possible that the deaths occurred because of consuming stale food. Medical teams had been dispatched to concerned villages.

The deceased were identified as Ramoli, Matra, Saroj, Kanti, Kunnu and Santoshi.

A forest department guard posted at Bhudmud said the ailment has been going since the Rakshabandhan festival.
