Patel Engineering bags Rs 318 cr NTPC hydro project
New Delhi, Aug 21 (UNI) Patel Engineering today said it has bagged Rs 318 crore Loharinag Pala Hydro Electric Power Project from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
The project, to be completed in 38 months, is situated on river Bhagirathi in Uttarkashi District of Uttaranchal about 195km from Rishikesh on NH108.
''Executing a hydro power project requires vast experience and expertise, and hence yields better margins. We are currently executing a large number of hydro power projects and will continue to focus on acquiring similar projects,'' Patel Engineering Director Sonal Patel said.
Loharinag Pala Hydro Electric Power Project (4x150 MW) is a run-of-the river scheme to generate 1939 MU on 90 per cent dependability.
The project comprises a 6m diameter horse-shoe shaped 13 km long concrete lined Head Race Tunnel on the right bank of river, which will be executed through three access adits using drill and blast technique, a company statement said.
