Nagaland Assembly begins tomorrow
Kohima, Aug 21 (UNI) The crucial monsoon session of the Nagaland assembly will begin here tomorrow with a three-day calendar of sittings.
The ruling Democratic Alliance of Nagaland(DAN), led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, is likely to introduce the long pending Women's Bill, along with some other bills.
The Opposition Congress has already chalked out their strategy to corner the government on various issues, including the alleged involvement of the education minister in the Joint Entrance Examination(JEE) case, corruption scandal in some of the departments and the law and order situation in the state.
The 12th session of the 10th Assembly will begin tomorrow with obituary reference, followed by question hour, introduction of government bills, presentation of Reports of Assembly Committee, Government Resolution and presentation of the Supplementary Demands for grants for regularisation of excess expenditure for 1994-95.
