LS adjourned for day to pay tributes to TDP MP
New Delhi, Aug 21: The Lok Sabha was adjourned for the day today as a mark of respect for its sitting TDP member K P Naidu, who breathed his last on August 19.
Immediately as the house opened for the day, Speaker Somnath Chatterjee announced the sad demise of 76-year-old K P Naidu who was elected to the 14th Lok Sabha from Bobbili Parliamentary constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
Mr Chatterjee also announced the death of Shehnai maestro Ustad Bismillah Khan, who died of heart attack this morning.
Thereafter the house observed two-minute silence as a mark of respect for the two great personalities.
The house was later adjourned for the day to pay tributes to its sitting member.
