Heavy rains likely in Bengal, Orissa
Kolkata, Aug 21 (UNI) West Bengal and Orissa are likely to experience heavy rains in the next 24 hours due to a depression in the Bay of Bengal, Met officials said today.
The Weathermen said here that there is a well marked low pressure, which would transform into a depression, causing heavy rains in Ganjetic West Bengal and Orissa.
Around 15 mm rainfall was recorded in the last 24 hours in the state, sources said.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 29.5 degree Celsius, which was three degrees below normal, while the minimum was 25.7 degree Celsius.
The maximum relative humidity was recorded at 97 per cent while the minimum was 85 per cent.
Met Office forecast generally cloudy sky and a few spells of heavy rains and thundershowers.
