CPI(M) always stalled state's development : Chandy

Kochi, Aug 21 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in the Kerala Assembly Ooman Chandy today alleged the CPI(M) has always tried to stall the development of the State in one way or the other.

Speaking at a seminar on the preparation of a blueprint for the 11th five-year plan, Mr Chandy said the CPI(M) should introspect on this matter as they have tried to thwart the State's development when something innovative was incorporated into the system.

When other states were on the path of development, the Left Democratic Front-led Government's approach to the five-year plan for the State is very discouraging, he added.

KPCC President Ramesh Chennitahla opined that the fruits of globalisation should percolate to the lower levesls of society.

The State cannot turn a blind eye to development in every sphere globally, he added.
