BPSC chairman's aide denied bail

Patna, Aug 21 (UNI) Special vigilance judge (incharge) of Patna, Jayant Kumar Sen today turned down the regular bail plea of a former aide of incarcerated Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) chairman Dr Ram Singhasan Singh in a Disproportionate Assets(DA) case.

Accused Ramashish Singh Yadav, lodged in jail since April 29, 2006, had been posted as a stenographer in science and technology department, prior to this, he was working as a personal assistant of BPSC chairman Mr Singh.

According to the charges, the accused had amassed wealth around some crores of rupees, which was disproportionate to his all known sources of income during the period 2003-2006.

Meanwhile, Mr Sen had refused to grant anticipatory bail to a former assistant of animal husbandry department in a case relating to irregularities committed in regularisation of the services of casual labourers in the different offices of the department in 1993.
