Air Force warriors in motorcycle expedition
Shillong, Aug 21 (UNI) The Air Force Motor Cycle expedition was flagged off today by Air Marshal F H Major, Air Force Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Air Command at Digaru in Asom.
The expedition was organised as a sequel to the Indian Air Force 'Platinum Jubilee celebrations' comprising 12 air warriors from Air Force station in Digaru.
The team would move to Kerang plateau, north of Gangtok, Sikkim on the Indo-China border via Nathu la pass and culminate at Eastern Air Command headquarters here on September 3 after covering 2000 kms, official sources said.
The expedition was aimed at showcasing the perseverance and skills of the Air Warriors to surmount the multifarious challenges, they further added.
