Agitators held while trying to burn Rajapakshe's photo

Pondicherry, Aug 21 (UNI) As many as 150 volunteers of the Periyar Dravidar Kazhagam and 'Raavanar Pakutharivu Iyyakam', were arrested when they attempted to burn photographs of Sri Lankan President Rajapakshe here today.

The agitation was to condemn the killing of 61 Tamil children in the bombing by the Sri Lankan army.

The volunteers reportedly beat the photographs with chappals, before trying to burn them.
