2 arrested for possessing explosives

Raigad, Maharashtra, Aug 21 (UNI) The local crime branch sleuths today arrested two persons and seized 22 crude bombs from the duo from Turadi village near Rasayani here.

The crime branch sleuths raided a residential place in early today and arrested Eknath Dadu Dangarkar and Ankush Malusure. Two detonators were also seized from them, police said.

Incidentally, there is a rioting case pending against Eknath. The riots had occurred in the Turadi village in 2004 and similar explosives were used during that time, police said. Eknath had been enlarged on bail.

The two were produced before a local court here today which remanded them in police custody.
