Rain lash Kerala, Lakshadweep

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 20 (UNI) Widespread rain occurred at a few places in Kerala and at most places in Lakswadeep.

The Local Met office here said the highest rainfall of eight cm was recorded at Alwaye.

Agati, Kochi and Thrissur received five cm of rains followed by Aminidweep four cm. Kannur and Chertala recorded three cm of rains.

The Met Office said rains would occur at many places in Kerala and Lakshwadeep during the next 48 hours.
